A new report suggests the Los Angeles Chargers should trade star edge rusher, Joey Bosa this upcoming season to the Buffalo Bills. According to Alex Kay of Bleacher Report, the Bills could acquire one of the most explosive defensive products midseason after having a quiet offseason. Even though the Chargers were able to bring Bosa back on a new contract that takes less money doesn’t guarantee that he’ll be there all season. The Bills still have Super Bowl aspirations but with the restructuring of offense under Josh Allen’s leadership, the defense could use some firepower.
Von Miller‘s return will give the boost the Bills need but he’s way past his prime and his track record of injuries is troubling to see how long he has in the NFL anymore. Bosa would be a replacement and could benefit from the Bills in the process of the change of scenery. The Chargers star does have some injury campaigns with the team under his belt so him suiting up with a new team could be what needs to change for his NFL career. He only suited up for 14 regular season games since 2021 so his injuries could become concerning if he were to sustain another one this upcoming year.
While the Chargers are entering a new era under Jim Harbaugh, Bosa may not be a part of the new regime for much longer. It’s impossible to keep both Bosa and Khalil Mack on the same team considering they’ll demand higher contracts in the future. The source says the Bills could deal a day-two pick to acquire Bosa from the Chargers only if he can stay healthy this season. However, many other rosters need a pass rusher so here are some possible trade fits for Bosa.

Other Possible Trade Destinations
Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore has one of the most complete teams this upcoming season despite losing many key defensive pieces like Patrick Queen. The Ravens are loaded on offense but they could use a key leader next to Justin Madubuike to create a blockbuster firepower defense. However, Roquan Smith is a physical defensive hitter who could get after the quarterback, they need another one alongside to help sustain the load. Bosa in the mix could spice up the team’s defense if they want to keep up the competition in the AFC like the Kansas City Chiefs
Carolina Panthers
Carolina is setting up to become a team that will surprise many in the league this year. After getting a strong supporting cast for Bryce Young, the Panthers still could use some help for their defense despite signing Jadeveon Clowney. Carolina shouldn’t get complacent about what they have being that they only have Shaq Thompson to accommodate Clowney. However, Bosa isn’t in his prime anymore but his presence should be enough to give the defense more experience and a lift at least deep into a playoff run.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are walking into this upcoming season with one of the worst offenses that anyone could remember since 2016. Dak Prescott still doesn’t have a new deal and they’re bringing back Ezekiel Elliott but he’s well past his prime. The same can be said about Dalvin Cook so a quick solution could be to build a quick strong defense to give the team a fighting chance. After losing Leighton-Vander Esch and Dorance Armstrong, they need someone to help new linebacker Eric Kendricks alongside him.
