The New York Jets were not very happy with the way they played against the Buffalo Bills on “Monday Night Football,” evidently…
Only hours after the 23-20 win for the Bills (4-2), the Jets (2-4) have landed All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Adams, 32, heading to New York had long been speculated. Adams wanted out of Vegas and reports indicated he wanted to play with one of his former quarterbacks… namely Aaron Rodgers.
He got his wish.
The Jets sent a conditional third-round selection to the Raiders for Adams. It can move to a second rounder if certain terms are met.
There was some hope for fans in Buffalo that the Bills could pull off this exact trade… but it didn’t happen and never really seemed likely.
The Bills were strapped financially compared to their AFC East rivals. Adams’ acquisition could quickly make the Jets a contender again, but with their two games below .500 mark now… it remains to be seen if Gang Green can pull themselves out of such a hole.
