Bills Mafia, here is your Angry Runs champion for NFL Week 10!
The Buffalo Bills had a great day running the football against the Indianapolis Colts, totaling over 130 rushing yards. The lead man in this impressive performance was running back James Cook, who rushed for 80 yards at 4.2 yard per carry, and scored a touchdown.
Ahead of Buffalo’s game in Indianapolis, Cook made an appearance on One Bills Live, and the subject of his possibly being snubbed and left off Kyle Brandt’s Angry Runs award list popped up.

Let’s take a look at the film and see how Cook was able to excel last Sunday.
Play1
At the start of the play Cook lined up in the gun next to quarterback Josh Allen. Cook ran right and followed the hole, then lowered his shoulder on the defender all while keeping his balance. Cook then accelerated in the open field and finished off the run dragging defenders forward, in classic Angry Runs fashion.
Play 2
Pre-snap Cook was in the backfield with Allen under center. One the balled was snapped, Cook ran up the middle where he was met with contact in the hole and leveraged a break-an-ankle tackle to get by the defender. Cook kept his balance, stayed upright and finished off the run by going through contact.
Play 3
On this touchdown play we get to see Cook’s quickness and speed. Pre-snap Cook was deep in the backfield. At the snap he ran left and made a quick cut showing of his quickness. Cook then beat the defender to the edge for his now-signature backflip touchdown.
The Fast Lane
James Cook’s performance in Week 11 was the third best day from him on the ground this season. A common theme for Cook against the Colts was finishing of runs. This game really showed of his quickness, speed and balance. It’s fair to expect we’ll see all this and much more from Cook as the season wears on.
