Sunday’s back-and-forth overtime affair between the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles reeled in major television ratings.
According to Sports Media Watch, the contest, won 37-34 by the Eagles in overtime, averaged a 15.2 rating and produced 30.90 million viewers on CBS.
That’s the highest rating for any regular season NFL window in four years, and third-largest viewership overall for an individual game this NFL season.
It’s also the first NFL regular season game outside of Thanksgiving to top 30 million viewers since 2014.
The game featured a shootout in the rain between Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts of the Eagles, with Hurts walking things off on a touchdown run late in overtime.

At 10-1, the Eagles have the best record in the NFL and have been drawing in eyeballs for their games all season.
It will be interesting to see if this weekend’s Philadelphia game, an NFC Championship rematch with the vaunted San Francisco 49ers, can top last Sunday’s overall numbers.
The Eagles and Niners will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday on FOX.
