ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Starting middle linebacker Terrel Bernard was excused from Buffalo Bills practice on Wednesday for personal reasons while being classified as day to day with an ankle injury, coach Sean McDermott said.
Bernard, who missed two games earlier this season with a pectoral muscle strain, hurt his right ankle in the third quarter of Sunday’s win against Tennessee when his foot got stepped on while pass rushing. Bernard also was evaluated for a head injury in the first half of Buffalo’s the 34-10 victory.
The Bills (5-2) visit the Seattle Seahawks (4-3) on Sunday.
Tight end Dawson Knox (ankle), defensive lineman Dawuane Smoot (groin) and receiver Curtis Samuel (shoulder) also did not practice for the Bills on Wednesday. Defensive tackle DaQuan Jones was rested and linebacker Dorian Williams practiced after leaving the game against the Titans with a knee injury.
