‘Tis the season — but will fortune favor the Buffalo Bills this time?

Alright, Bills Mafia — it’s that time again! As I’m certain you’re well aware, the Buffalo Bills are 12-3, and playoff bound thanks to one of the franchise’s strongest seasons to date under the guidance of head coach Sean McDermott.
In fact, should the Bills win just one more game this season, they will equal the franchise record for wins in a season — and establish a new all-time single-season record if they win out against both the New York Jets and New England Patriots. (The franchise’s current bests are 12-2 in 1964 during the 14-game era, and 13-3 in both the 1990 and ‘91 season during the 16-game era.) That’s pretty impressive for a team that was supposed to play second fiddle at best to the likes of the Jets and Miami Dolphins.
After watching the Kansas City Chiefs lay waste to the Pittsburgh Steelers, we know the Bills cannot overtake the Chiefs to earn the one seed in this year’s playoff race. Kansas City has just one loss, which came at the hands of Buffalo. Much the same as the Chiefs, the Bills are just as dangerous on the road as they are at home because Bills Country is everywhere — especially now thanks to quarterback Josh Allen.
If the #Bills win their final two games of the regular season, they’d be the first team since the 2004 Patriots to win 14 games in a regular season and *not* secure its conference’s No. 1 seed.

Prior to last weekend’s close win against the Patriots, the Bills looked completely unstoppable on offense against the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams — the latter of which felt more like time defeated Josh Allen and company more than anything else. But there may be some concern for how Buffalo’s defense has performed this season, often unable to stop more physical offensive systems.
Ultimately, the biggest recipe for success with the Bills this season has been getting to 30 points or better. There are very few teams able to match that level of offensive production, and even fewer able to hit 40 points or better. It took a game for the ages from the Rams and everything the Lions had in them to keep pace at home against Buffalo.
This is a special team — one built to make history if just the right amount of talent, technique, execution, and luck meet up at the perfect moment.
So the question is, as it remains in asking each week: How confident are you in the current direction of the Buffalo Bills?
Additionally, be sure to vote in a pair of old-school Buffalo Rumblings polls regarding Allen’s TD numbers and the team’s total win figure.
