Bills release one, waive another with a non-football injury
The Buffalo Bills continue making roster moves ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. On Thursday, April 17 the team announced two player transactions. Defensive tackle Branson Deen has been released, while tight end Armani Rogers was waived with what was termed a non-football injury.
Deen was a reserve defensive tackle who played sparingly with the Bills. Rogers was signed to a reserve/future contract early in January, but an Achilles heel injury ended his bid to contend for a roster spot before his opportunity even unfolded. Rogers will hope to heal up and resume his career in 2026.
Perhaps the biggest question on the collective mind of Bills Mafia is what those roster moves mean for the team moving forward. As reported on Wednesday, April 16, veteran cornerback James Bradberry was meeting with the team at One Bills Drive. There has been no follow-up news regarding an imminent signing by Bradberry, so we’ll have to keep our ears and eyes peeled for any additions. Other names to consider are cornerback Rasul Douglas and wide receiver Amari Cooper, both who are still free agents.
Perhaps even someone like former first-round draft pick and goalie extraordinaire Tre’Davious White, who is also a free agent. Keep it posted here at Buffalo Rumblings for the latest news regarding the Bills’ roster and more.
