With the number up for grabs, the Bills decided to give it to Claypool after signing him on Friday.

Claypool will get a fresh start with the Bills after spending part of last season with the Chicago Bears and the Miami Dolphins. He only played in three games with the Bears before being traded to the Dolphins.
In Miami, he appeared in nine games and finished the season with eight receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Before he was with the Bears, he spent the first two and a half years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers before he got dealt. His best individual season (so far) was in 2020 as a rookie, finishing with 62 receptions for 873 yards and nine touchdowns.
Time will tell if he can get back to that level this season. He’ll have Josh Allen throwing him the ball each Sunday.
