Plus, examining whether the door has closed on Amari Cooper returning to the Bills.
During the NFL’s annual meeting in Palm Beach, FL, Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane was asked about whether wide receiver was a need the team was considering in the upcoming NFL Draft.
“Needs? I wouldn’t say needs, but we’ll look for competition,” Beane told reporters. “I would say our offense did pretty good last year. I think when you look across the board … I think what Joe Brady and Josh [Allen] and our offensive team did was pretty good. … “There’s still time to add more players, but am I sitting here going, man, we’ve got a hole there? No.”
This offseason, the Bills signed free-agent wide receiver Joshua Palmer and lost Mack Hollins in free agency, while Amari Cooper remains unsigned. Realistically, the Bills have at least one, and perhaps two positions open in their wide receiver room.
Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by assessing the best wide receivers available in the NFL Draft.
Assessing the best wide receivers in the NFL Draft
If you ask the NFL Draft experts, the 2025 class of receivers pales in comparison to their counterparts in the Class of 2024, when nine of the first 34 overall selections were wide receivers. But there are still some talented pro prospects to be had, including Matthew Golden (Texas), Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona), Luther Burden III (Missouri), Emeka Egbuka (Ohio State), Jayden Higgins (Iowa State), Jalen Royals (Utah State), Isaiah Bond (Texas), and Tre Harris (Ole Miss).
