What’s it going to take for the Bills to advance to the AFC Championship Game?

The Buffalo Bills advanced to the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs thanks to a complete thrashing of the Denver Broncos. Though just a seven seed, the Broncos were perhaps one of the most dangerous teams in this season’s playoffs because they had nothing to lose and every reason to play lights out.
Winning 31-7 is impressive, but Buffalo was expected to make it past Super Wild Card Weekend. So here they are, about to face the Baltimore Ravens in front of Bills Mafia at Highmark Stadium.
Though early odds had the Bills as 1.5-point favorites, that line has since changed, and now the Ravens are 1.5-point favorites. It would seem that oddsmakers find more favor with Baltimore’s roster.
Whether the current swing in odds is due to people believing Buffalo’s 35-10 loss at Baltimore in Week 4 holds true now, isn’t certain. Maybe it’s that quarterback Lamar Jackson is the NFL MVP and a seemingly unstoppable force, or that running back Derrick Henry is far too dangerous a runner for the Bills to handle.
Perhaps some believe that the moment will prove too big for quarterback Josh Allen and company — while failing to remember how many times Jackson and John Harbaugh’s Ravens have lost in recent playoff games. We’ve seen what happens when people underestimate Josh Allen.
