Dallas in primetime, playing for character against Tampa Bay
Following a tough Week 16 win for the Buffalo Bills against the New England Patriots, the reminder’s front and center that on any given day, every NFL team is vulnerable. It’s likely, however, that Bills Mafia haven’t been waiting all day for this Sunday Night Football matchup.
Playing for character, which edge rusher Micah Parsons said is at stake tonight, is admirable. But the truth is these Dallas Cowboys are up against it taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Jerry’s World.
Dallas has been miserable at home, and they’re not a playoff team — especially without quarterback Dak Prescott. Tampa Bay enters tonight’s game as 4.5-point road favorites through FanDuel Sportsbook, which has the O/U set at 46.5.
The Buccaneers currently lead the AFC South and they’re playing a brand of football that’s leagues better than the eliminated-from-playoff-contention Cowboys. Any given day aside, Dallas isn’t winning tonight.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31, Dallas Cowboys 14
Here’s your open thread for Week 16 of Sunday Night Football on NBC. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
