In terms of the Buffalo Bills defense heading into 2024, the secondary is taking most of the attention.
With the departures of defensive backs Tre’Davious White, Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde, there has been a level of concern. Can the Buffalo defense survive such turnover?
It’s a worthwhile question, but that storyline has overshadowed the positive that is Taron Johnson.
The nickel cornerback is one of the Bills’ best kept secrets, but not against the Pittsburgh Steelers according to ESPN’s Mina Kimes.
The NFL analyst took a watch back at the film of Buffalo’s 9-3 preseason win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Johnson’s efforts were very highly praised:
Random thought while watching Bills Steelers…
Taron Johnson might be one of the most underrated players in the NFL

Now as a veteran leader, Johnson is a player the Bills will have to lean on in their secondary heading into the 2024 season. But there’s reason to believe that will not be a problem after the efforts the 28-year-old has put on the field in recent years.
