Get ready for some Josh Allen.
The Buffalo Bills will host the Chicago Bears in their preseason opener at Highmark Stadium on Saturday.
Allen was always slated to be there–but he will be playing football during his appearance.
Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott announced that Allen and first teamers will see playing time. In total, that faction will feature for about a quarter of game time.
In making his decision, McDermott noted the roster turnover the Bills have had this offseason. He wants to use the game as an opportunity for the chemistry building to continue.
“There’s a number of new faces on our offense also, including his receiving corps and so some of that is baked into this,” McDermott said.
Earlier this week, Allen himself said he didn’t believe he had much to gain anymore by playing in the preseason. However, he did note there are positives to the first teamers getting reps against another team and that he would be happy to play.
