Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen just paid for his wedding with one MVP win.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen won the NFL MVP on Thursday night. We told you back in December that Allen was on track to hit a pretty nice incentive in his contract with the MVP win.
With the MVP award, Allen triggers a $1.5 million incentive in his contract. Buffalo will have to account for it on their 2025 salary cap. I think they’ll be okay.
Of course, Allen would also love to have cashed the incentive for leading the Bills to the Super Bowl, but that will have to wait until 2025 (we hope).
ESPN’s Adam Schefter had some fun with the power couple of the evening, too, writing that “Josh Allen just financed his wedding.” I don’t think either Allen nor his fiancé Hailey Steinfeld were hurting for money, but it can’t hurt.

The Bills quietly renegotiated Allen’s contract in 2024, moving up some money from future years to help better align him with his peers financially.
In January, we projected Allen will receive a pretty big new contract this offseason. He’s currently only scheduled to make $14.5 million in 2025 while his colleagues make $60 million per season. We will see what gets done.
