Josh Allen was really good against the Broncos. Again.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen had a pretty good game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The QB set a franchise record and the Bills won big, but it was actually below-average for Allen.
Let me be clear so I don’t incur the wrath of Bills Mafia. Allen has been so good in the playoffs, that his really good game against the Broncos was actually a down game for him.
Allen came into the playoffs averaging 311 yards and 2.6 touchdowns per game. He only managed 307 net yards and two touchdowns again the Broncos. I guess we will take it when the Bills only punted once all game, right? His final stat line was 20-of-26 (77%) for 272 yards and two touchdowns. His QB rating was 135.4. He added 46 yards on the ground with eight carries.
After another playoff game without an interception, Allen sits fifth in NFL history with a career playoff interception percentage of 0.99%. He has four INTs in 404 attempts in the postseason.
Allen did set the Bills franchise record with his 23rd touchdown pass. He came into the game tied with Jim Kelly at 21 touchdown passes.
