Eight other Bills were named as alternates.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and offensive tackle Dion Dawkins have been named to this year’s Pro Bowl. The pair of Bills were both voted in as starters for the AFC in the NFL’s annual version of an all-star game.

For Allen, it’s his third selection, although he usually opts out of playing in the games. Allen is the third Bills quarterback in history to have three or more selections to the Pro Bowl joining Jack Kemp (6) and Jim Kelly (5). Dawkins has been selected for the fourth time in his career making him the first Bills’ lineman to receive the honor four or more times since Reuben Brown who made the trip eight times.
In addition to Allen and Dawkins, eight other Buffalo Bills have been selected as alternates for this year’s Pro Bowl Games. Running back James Cook and center Connor McGovern are first alternates, safety Damar Hamlin is a second alternate, and linebacker Terrel Bernard is listed as a third alternate. Fullback Reggie Gilliam, defensive tackle Ed Oliver, offensive tackle Spencer Brown, and tight end Dalton Kincaid are all fourth alternates.

This year’s Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, February 2 in Orlando, Florida. The games will include skill challenges on Thursday, January 30.
Once the full rosters were revealed, Bills’ running back James Cook made it clear that he wasn’t happy about being named as an alternate. Cook currently leades the NFL in rushing touchdowns, but only garnered a spot as an alternate on this year’s AFC Pro Bowl team. Cook has fifteen rushing touchdowns and two receiving. Derrick Henry has fourteen rushing touchdowns while Joe Mixon has ten and Jonathan Taylor has eleven, yet all three were selected ahead of Cook.
