Kansas City and Houston play for the second time in a month — and with far more at stake
The divisional round of the NFL playoffs is upon us, and it all starts with a matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans. The Chiefs should be well-rested thanks to their bye during Super Wild Card Weekend. Meanwhile the Texans are riding high after their dominant win over the Los Angeles Chargers last weekend.
Entering play, Kansas City is pretty heavily favored (-8.5) with FanDuel Sportsbook. The question is whether or not the Chiefs really are as dangerous as their record would imply — and as they’ve been in prior postseasons.
If Houston’s defense is up to the task again, it could be a long day for Patrick Mahomes and company. These two teams met just before the holidays for a Week 16 clash at Arrowhead, and with the Chiefs exiting as 27-19 winners.
Do the Texans have enough resolve to weather Kansas City’s offensive for the rematch? We’ll find out in a few hours’ time.
Here’s your open thread for Chiefs-Texans. Who are you rooting for? Remember, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
