It’s a perfect Saturday to root against the Kansas City Chiefs
It’s the final weekend before the year’s biggest week of holidays around much of the world. Today also marks the first weekend of Saturday NFL games of the 2024 season. First up at 1 p.m. EST the Houston Texans take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Everyone’s attention will be on quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his gimpy ankle. Is it an injury or is it not?
Though the Texans defeated the Bills earlier in the season, there’s no way Bills Mafia wants the Chiefs to win this afternoon. The one seed is still in play, and it’s KC — plus, Taylor Swift spurned her Western New York Swifties a few weeks ago by refusing to attend the game in Orchard Park, NY. Will luck once again gift the Chiefs a win?
At 4:30 p.m. EST, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens hit the field for what should be a great AFC North battle. Quarterback Lamar Jackson is putting together another MVP-worthy campaign, but he has plenty of competition from both quarterback Josh Allen and running back Saquon Barkley.
Bills fans should root for a Ravens win today, even though Baltimore defeated Buffalo early in the season. The concern here is 10-4 Pittsburgh and wanting to put more space between the Bills and them. The Ravens are 9-5 and would still trail the Bills with a win — but also harm Pittsburgh’s hunt for the two seed. If the Steelers do win, they’ll wrap up the AFC North for the holidays.
Here’s your open thread for today’s NFL action. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
