This is the third member of the Bills’ organization to get an interview request since the regular season ended on Monday.
The Buffalo Bills success this season — and for the past four-plus years — isn’t going unnoticed around the league. Requests to interview personnel for positions with other teams have been coming in all week with the latest being from the Tennessee Titans.
Ian Rapport reports that the Titans have asked permission to interview Bills’ director of player personnel Terrence Gray for their vacant general manager position.
The #Titans are expected to interview #Bills director of player personnel Terrance Gray for their general manager position, source said. He also spoke with the #Chargers last year.

Gray joined the Bills in 2017 along with head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane. The group has successfully turned the franchise into a perennial playoff team and Super Bowl contender in the eight seasons at One Bills Drive. While Gray was originally hired as the director of college scouting, he was elevated to assistant director of player personnel in 2022 and then promoted to the director’s position after Joe Schoen took the general manager position with the New York Giants and then-Bills-director Brian Gaine was moved to the assistant general manager position.
This is not the first time that Gray has been interviewed for a position outside of the Bills’ organization. After last season, in which Buffalo won the AFC East for the fourth straight season but were eliminated from the playoffs in the divisional round, Gray was interviewed by the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders. Gray declined an interview request by the New England Patriots for their general manager position last season, choosing to stay in Buffalo and continue his work with the Bills’ organization.
There’s no word yet as to whether Gray will accept the interview with the Titans, but should he take the job of general manager with another team, the Bills would be entitled to two third-round draft picks as compensation.

The Titans fired general manager Ran Carthon on Tuesday after Tennessee finished the season 3-14. Whoever takes over as the next general manager in Nashville will be gifted with the 2025 NFL Draft’s number one overall pick.
