Jim Boeheim has been leading the men’s basketball team for Syracuse since 1976. Although there have been plenty of great moments during his lengthy run, it seems like college basketball fans are officially over his antics.
Following Syracuse’s loss to Virginia, Boeheim was asked about Benny Williams’ absence. Despite it being a fair question, the veteran coach had a rude response.
“Is that your most important question here? I will answer it,” Boeheim replied. “Your attitude isn’t really good, either. Benny took a personal day. He will be back at practice on Wednesday.”
Boeheim’s comments infuriated so many fans on Monday night that a plethora of people are demanding he retires.
Jim Boeheim seems like a genuinely bad person. He picks fights with reporters after every loss. Has driven the program into the ground with his unwillingness to retire or adapt.

“Boeheim has become a complete embarrassment,” another fan wrote. “He has destroyed the program he built for so many years and has moved onto ruining his legacy. If he doesn’t retire this year Wildhack needs to do him a favor and fire him. Frankly he should’ve done it years ago.”
