A 1st and 2nd place finish for the Orange
The Syracuse Orange cross-country teams are once again heading back to next weekend’s NCAA Championships.
Led by Sam Lawler (2nd place) and Benne Anderson (8th), Syracuse out-paced the Harvard Crimson Tide 75-97 to win their 12th Northeast Regional title in the last 15 years. Connor Ackley (18th) and Alex Comerford (19th) also earned top-20 finishes as the men will be heading to their 16th straight NCAA meet.

Savannah Roark (9th) led the Orange women to a 2nd-place finish behind the Providence Friars. Emma Eastman (17th) and Rylie Lusk (19th) also earn All-Region honors as they help Syracuse earn their 4th straight NCAA appearance.
Syracuse is one of 10 schools to automatically qualify both the men and women for the Championship race. Both Orange squads will be in action next Saturday at the NCAA Championships. The race from Madison, Wisconsin will air on ESPNU starting at 10am ET.
