The Syracuse Orange have bolstered their 2026 recruiting class with one of the top-rated Edge prospects.
Jarius Rodgers, a consensus four-star and composite Top-30 DE in his class, has committed to SU. He recently had a home visit from Defensive Ends Coach Nick Williams and also attended the Future Franchise camp this past weekend.

“Got to see the Dome and the facilities, then talk to most of the coaches and learned some things in meetings,” Rodgers told 247Sports’ Mike McAllister. “They checked everything off the list I was looking for.”
The 6’5″, 215 lbs. Edge also drew attention from BC, FSU, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa State, Kentucky, Nebraska, Notre Dame, SMU, UCF, Vanderbilt, and elsewhere.
In addition to football, Rodgers also competes in track & field and has previously qualified for districts in the 110-meter hurdles.
He is currently the highest rated of nine Orange verbal commitments for the Class of 2026. Rodgers is the second commit this week, following OL Steven Pickard‘s announcement on Saturday. The Class now carries the No. 11 composite rank in the country.
