The honors keep rolling in
Syracuse Orange tight end Oronde Gadsden was named a third-team All-American by the Associated Press yesterday.
Gadsden was listed behind Bowling Green’s Harold Fannin, Jr. and Penn State’s Tyler Warren. He’s the first Syracuse player to receive AP honors since Sean Tucker in 2021 and the first Orange tight end to be selected since Chris Gedney in 1992.
This season, Gadsden had 69 receptions for 860 yards and 5 touchdowns. He heads into the DIRECTV Holiday Bowl with an outside shot at a 1,000 yard season. For his career, Gadsden has 139 receptions for 1926 yards and 12 scores.
While he has one season of eligibility remaining, Gadsden will be entering the 2025 NFL Draft where he is expected to be the first Syracuse player taken.
