Rivalry Week!
What happens when the Syracuse Orange welcome a long-time rival to the JMA Wireless Dome? Well, here’s what we predict will happen:
Kevin: Syracuse 66, Bye Week U 8
It’s a great day to be a Syracuse back-up as Fran Brown empties the bench early and often in this one. We see Kyle McCord on the sidelines after one touchdown and then five other quarterbacks take snaps for the Orange. Sounds like a lot, but it pales to the 12 players who get carries in this game- including Max Mang and Elijah Wright. Bye Week gets two long field goals from Drady Benaburg and a safety and they’ll get another shot at the Orange in a few weeks.
Dom: Syracuse 44, Bye Week U 17
Here’s what goes down: The Myle KcCord-led passing offense looks just as good as it did the past two weekends and helps get the Orange to 44 points for the #BRAND, which means this game quickly becomes a blowout and we can have some fun. AeQuint Lllen in the wildcat, Draden Bavis making one-handed catches, and of course… Thunder Van Dillari back at QB. Give the people what they want. In typical SU fashion, however, the Fighting Byes score a late-game rushing touchdown to cover the imaginary spread.
Max: Syracuse 56, Bye Week U 0
The Orange pitch a shutout against a much inferior opponent. Wasin Yillis finally gets a chance in the backfield and turns in three first-half touchdowns. The Mob has no problems containing Bye Week’s feeble offense, as Bustin Jarron snags an interception and forces a fumble on a strip sack. The bench takes over and dominates in the second half, giving SU the momentum it needs for a battle with the Trees next week.
Now it’s your turn
