A quiet signing Day for Syracuse
It was a quiet National Signing Day for the Syracuse Orange football squad, but one more New Jersey player officially signed to join the 2025 class.
Running back Tylik Hill from Sparta, NJ became the 35th member of the class. He’s listed at 5’9 175 pounds and had an offer from UMass. Hill is rated three stars by 247 and On3 and two from Rivals.
Last season for Pope John XXIII, Hill broke school records with 2,336 yards rushing and 27 touchdowns. He helped lead his team to a sectional title and the NJSIAA Non-Public, Group B championship game. His coach Dom Gaston talked about Hill’s impact on the program
“Tylik is a superstar,” said Gaston. “He was always the best player on the football field. It’s great to see the running back tradition come alive again at Pope John.”
It will be interesting to see if Syracuse uses Hill as a running back or if he’ll be moved to a slot receiver role to take advantage of his speed. He’s a look at Hill in action
Syracuse’s class ended up ranked 49th nationally by On3 and 60th by 247.
