Syracuse men’s basketball: can a gifted bomber jacket spark an Orange winning streak?

While the Syracuse Orange were holding on to beat Georgia Tech the other night, some news dropped that certainly caught attention.

This Roots of Fight jacket is part of their Carmelo Anthony collection and available at the SU Bookstore. If you haven’t been keeping up with the Kardashians, you might not be aware that LaLa Anthony and Kim are close friends. Last month, LaLa was at the grand opening of for Kim’s brand’s (SKIMS) NYC flagship store, so in addition to being a promising basketball player, Kiyan shows he’s got a giving spirit.

Now, will this token of appreciation bring some luck to an Orange squad that needs it? Who knows, but do you think we were going to miss a chance at talking fashion analytics? We can’t rely on a timely Boeheim jacket toss to spur on a win, so maybe getting Cuse gear in the hands of more celebrities will do the trick?

Of course it wouldn’t hurt if this connection was used to get SKIMS, the official underwear partner of the NBA and WNBA, to make Syracuse the first college basketball team they partner with. Then that could help the Orange’s NIL to build a better team for Kiyan to play with next year……let’s just make sure Petar Majstorovic gets the nod for the Paris billboards.
