The Syracuse Orange athletics season is in full swing so we are back with these weekly recaps as we look to keep you updated on the Olympic sports.
Ice Hockey (13-21, 11-9)
Syracuse split their series at Mercyhurst and moved into third place in the AHA standings. This means the Orange will host Robert Morris next Saturday afternoon in the AHA quarterfinals.
Over the weekend, Allie Kelley set the Syracuse career saves record passing Kallie Billadeau’s previous record of 2,161
Softball (9-0, 0-0)
Syracuse kept their undefeated streak going by taking two games from LIU and Tennessee Tech over the weekend. Madelyn Lopez and Angie Ramos lead the offense with both hitting over .500. The Orange pitching staff currently sports a 0.36 ERA as Syracuse is off to their best start in program history.

The Orange are back in Georgia for the Georgia Classic next weekend.
Tennis (7-0, 0-0)
Another undefeated Orange squad stayed that way over the weekend as tennis beat Columbia 6-1. Syracuse swept the doubles matches and won at all but #3 singles against th Lions.
The Orange will host UNC and Duke to officially open ACC play next weekend.
Track and Field
Sophomore Benne Anderson set a new Syracuse record at BU’s Valentine Invitational as he ran 3:54.12 to break Justyn Knight’s record by one second. The sophomore is now 14th in the country as he looks to secure a spot at the NCAA Indoor meet.

Sam Lawler narrowly missed a school record in the 5,000 meters as he ran 13:38 in Boston just a bit off Perry Mackinnon’s 13:34.
At BC’s Eagle Elite Invitational, Kitana Burgard’s 3rd place in the 200m and Peyton Rollins’ 4th place finish in the 60m hurdles were the highlights for the women while Trei Thorogood won both the 60m and 200m and Emanuel Joseph was 1st in the 60m hurdles.
The Orange will have one final meet at Cornell this weekend before next week’s ACC Indoor Championships at Louisville.
