Syracuse graduate transfer Joe Girard is down to a fellow ACC school and an SEC school in terms of his commitment.
Girard told On3’s Joe Tipton that he will be committing to either LSU or Clemson. He confirmed that he’s had a lot of fun getting to know Clemson head coach Brad Brownell and LSU head coach Matt McMahon during the process.
Girard had a great 2022 season as a member of the Orange. He averaged 16 points, three assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game. He was also a 40% shooter from three-point range.
He spent the last four seasons with the Orange before entering his name into the portal. For his career, he has averaged 13 points, 3.6 assists, and three rebounds per game.
Before Girard committed to Syracuse, he was a three-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class and the No. 203 overall recruit in the country, per 247Sports composite rankings.
There’s currently no timetable for his decision, per Tipton.
