We’re just four weeks away from the start of a new season for Kayla Treanor’s squad
The wait for the full Syracuse Orange women’s lacrosse schedule came to an end on Wednesday when the school announced ‘Cuse’s official 2025 slate, which is set to open up in just over four weeks from now.
The Orange are set for a fast-paced, 16-game schedule made up of nine home games and seven away games.
It’s a typically difficult lineup that SU will face, with plenty of non-conference powerhouses alongside the strength of the ACC games. Let’s take a look:
And now that we’ve got the home/away display out of the way, here’s the full schedule from start to finish:

Some quick takeaways:
- First half home vs. second half road — While the nine home games and seven road games is a pretty even split overall, the first half of the season will look very different from the second half. Six of SU’s first eight games will be at home, while only three of the final eight will be in the Dome. There’s only one April game at home and only three after March 10.
- New-look ACC — While ACC men’s lacrosse is still searching for expansion, ACC women’s lacrosse can’t stop growing. The league is now up to 12 teams (with more on the way) when it was at nine just a few years ago with the additions of Stanford and Cal, both on ‘Cuse’s schedule. Just like last year when there were 10, each team will play nine conference games, meaning there’s two ACC teams each team won’t play (Duke and Louisville for SU).
- Non-conference toughness — The non-conference looks as tough as always, highlighted by meetings with Maryland, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, Loyola and Yale to complement ‘Cuse’s ACC slate.
The Orange will get things started on Friday, February 7 at home against Katie Rowan and her UAlbany Great Danes. After a rare week off between games, they’ll hit the road for a big test against Maryland on February 15.
They’ll come home for a mid-week game against Cornell before heading back down south for another big game as they open up ACC play against a North Carolina team looking for revenge on February 22.
After their trip to Chapel Hill, Syracuse returns home for their longest stretch of the season, a four-game homestand from February 25 to March 10. They’ll host Northwestern and Delaney Sweitzer (using her final grad year of eligibility, if you haven’t heard) just three days after playing the Tar Heels, before welcoming Clemson, Stanford and Hopkins to the Dome in the first 10 days of March.
The second half of the season will begin with a road trip to Pittsburgh on Saturday, March 15 and will be followed four days later by a difficult road game at Loyola.
The Orange will come home for a pair of ACC matchups to close the month of March against Notre Dame on March 23 and Virginia on March 29.
Syracuse begins April with their longest road trip of the season, starting at Yale on April 2 for a mid-week rematch after ‘Cuse dispatched the Bulldogs in last year’s NCAA quarterfinals. From there, the Orange will head west to the Bay Area to take on California on April 5. The road swing will conclude one week later at Virginia Tech on April 12.
SU will finish up the regular season back at home against the defending national champion Boston College with their typical Thursday matchup on April 17.
The ACC Tournament will take place on April 23, 25 and 27 down in Charlotte. With the expanded conference, only the top eight teams in the standings will travel there for the conference tourney.
There’s so much exciting lacrosse to be played, and it all gets underway in just about four weeks. We hope you’ll be joining us here all season long for all the fun!
