Are we in for six more weeks of Duke winning?
It’s February and we’re due for six more weeks of winter, will we get a stronger finish to the season from the Syracuse Orange? Let’s get to this week’s ACC rankings:
1: Duke Blue Devils (19-2, 11-0)
Dominated UNC and now Syracuse gets to welcome The Cooper Flagg Experience to the Dome.
2. Clemson Tigers (18-4, 10-1)
They keep getting it done. Can they avoid a stumble and actually give the ACC two top-four seeds in March.
3. Louisville Cardinals (16-6, 9-2)
Shocked to see them lost in Atlanta, but conference road games aren’t always easy.
4. SMU Mustangs (17-5, 8-3)
Pretty solid first year in the ACC continues for SMU. Need to do more work to get into the bubble conversation but they are on Lunardi Watch.
5. Wake Forest Demon Deacons (16-6, 8-3)
A nice comeback win over Pitt keeps Wake from planning to host NIT games. This is a team that needs a marquee win.
6. Stanford Cardinal (15-7, 7-4)
Big game this week when Wake visits Palo Alto. Loser is going to be left with lots of work to do in the ACC Tournament.
7. Pitt Panthers (14-7, 5-5)
Pitt needed that win at Wake. Next weekend they head to Chapel Hill for another Q1 chance.
8. UNC Tar Heels (13-10, 6-5)
Dropped both games on the road this week and Hubert Davis’ tookus is heating up a bit.
9. Virginia Tech Hokies (10-12, 5-6)
Rising up the rankings because they are stacking some wins.
10. Florida State Seminoles (13-9, 4-7)
Brutal loss at BC…you can see how they blew it below.
11. Syracuse Orange (10-12, 4-7)
Everyone is talking about Duke, but the game against BC next weekend is also important. A win in that one and there is less fear about missing Charlotte.
12. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (10-12, 4-7)
Nice win for Georgia Tech as upsets can give these teams some breathing room in the race to avoid the bottom.
13. California Golden Bears (11-11, 4-7)
They really need Andrej Stojakovic back this week. Even Syracuse fans found their three-point shooting to be atrocious.
14. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (10-11, 4-6)
Losing to Miami is bad. Blowing an 11-point halftime lead to do so is just awful.
15. Virginia Cavaliers (10-12, 3-8)
Just couldn’t complete the home comeback against the Hokies. Have to avoid a home loss to Georgia Tech this week.
16. NC State Wolfpack (9-12, 2-8)
Couldn’t close out Clemson and now they make the California swing this week? Feels like they need a split or else they might not be able to even try and defend their ACCT crown.
17. Boston College Eagles (10-11, 2-8)
Crazy win over FSU gives BC some hope of making the ACC Tournament.
FIVE POINTS IN LESS THAN FOUR SECONDS FOR THE WIN‼️

18. Miami Hurricanes (5-17, 1-10)
Finally got a win and it will be interesting to see which coaching candidates the Canes are linked to in this cycle.
