Louisville rising
After a 2-0 week for your Syracuse Orange, we bet you want to see where they rank. Let’s not delay and get to this week’s rankings:
1: Duke Blue Devils (14-2, 6-0)
Cooper Flagg is putting people on posters and you know that his NBA jersey is going to be the #1 seller next year.
2. Louisville Cardinals (12-5, 5-1)
Beat Clemson and Pitt last week and that moves them up as they head to the JMA Wireless Dome. Reyne Smith is bombing 3’s lately and must have wide eyes looking at the Orange perimeter defense.
3. Clemson Tigers (13-4, 5-1)
Brad Brownell is eyeing next year’s ACC transfer shooting guard- does Reyne Smith have one more year?
4. UNC Tar Heels (11-6, 4-1)
It’s a little odd that UNC doesn’t have a player in the top 20 in the ACC in rebounding.
5. Pitt Panthers (12-4, 3-2)
Dropped both games last week and might not be able to wear these beautiful road uniforms after this

6. Wake Forest Demon Deacons (12-4, 4-1)
We know it’s a down year for the league, but Wake’s a team to watch the next couple of months. Can they play their way in? The metrics aren’t strong so they need to rack up the wins.
7. SMU Mustangs (12-4, 3-2)
A bit opposite of Wake in that they are still top 50 in NET right now. Also, how does it feel to be Matt Cross and go from Miami to Louisville to Amherst, Mass and now land in Dallas?
8. Stanford Cardinal (11-5, 3-2)
Maxime Reynaud leads the league in points per game, rebounds per game and in a couple of months he’ll lead in ACC POY awards lost to Duke freshman.
9. Florida State Seminoles (11-5, 2-3)
Feels like this team is going to be on the cusp of being on the bubble. Just dangerous enough to be a threat but not good enough to rack up the wins.
10. NC State Wolfpack (9-7, 2-3)
They really needed that UNC win. Can they muster another March miracle?
11. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7-9, 1-4)
Putting them ahead of some teams with better records because of this
Markus Burton’s three games for Notre Dame since returning from injury:
20.3 PPG, 43.5% from the field, 46% from three-point range.

12. Syracuse Orange (8-8, 2-3)
Like Burton, JJ Starling cooked last week. It’s almost as if mediocre teams need All-ACC caliber players to win games….
13. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (8-9, 2-4)
Apparently the deep freeze in Atlanta impacted the Yellow Jackets’ offense last week.
14. Virginia Tech Hokies (7-9, 2-3)
Split their West Coast swing and that’s enough to rise up these rankings a bit.
15. Boston College Eagles (9-7, 1-4)
Maybe playing in a hockey arena is what’s cooled this program off so much.
16. California Golden Bears (8-8, 1-4)
Split with the Virginias. Need to fire up the Calgorithm again.
17. Virginia Cavaliers (8-8, 1-4)
Lost by double-digits to Stanford and Cal and it sure seems like the Interim tag will not be removed from Ron Sanchez.
18. Miami Hurricanes (4-12, 0-5)
You’d think that all the crypto bros and influencers would keep Miami flush with NIL cash.
