The game formerly known as the Camellia Bowl kicks off the Bowl Season later tonight.
The Mid-American Conference is set to kick off the postseason alongside a compatriot in the Sun Belt Conference, as the Western Michigan Broncos (6-6, 5-3 MAC) get set to take on the South Alabama Jaguars (6-6, 5-3 SBC) this upcoming Saturday night.
It’s an earlier start than usual to the Bowl Season thanks in part to the 12-team College Football Playoff affecting the rest of the postseason; in fact, this game and the Celebration Bowl between the MEAC and SWAC are set to play on Army-Navy Week, a first for college football.
