The Bulls hosted a dozen of their players— along with six from the USports scene in Canada— to partake in Pro Day activities.
Buffalo held their Pro Day back on March 13th, with over 20 scouts from both the NFL and CFL confirmed to be on-site. Participating alongside the dozen prospects from the Bulls football roster were a half-dozen Canadian prospects, including Senior Bowl participant Taylor Elgersma.
For our reports, we’ve pulled raw numbers from Draft Scout and RAS.football to assemble the RAS cards, which are used with express written permission of RAS’ creator Kent Lee Platte.

LB Shaun Dolac

USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin
Elevator Pitch:
Dolac, a former walk-on turned team leader, was an immediate impact player upon his arrival on campus at Buffalo, and is regarded as a local hero after withdrawing his name from the transfer portal to return for his senior season. He certainly made the best of his return trip, picking up an astounding 168 total tackles, including 18.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks, while also nabbing five interceptions (returning one for a touchdown) and five pass breakups on the season to earn 2024 MAC Defensive Player of the Year Honors and become the first-ever UB player to be named as a consensus All-American player. Dolac’s production is well-known in MAC circles; he finished his illustrious career with 391 total tackles (222 solo), 40.5 TFLs, 12.5 sacks, six interceptions, 18 pass break-ups, three forced fumbles and a blocked kick in 49 contests. Dolac was a shock snub from not only the collegiate all-star circuit, but also the NFL Combine, making him an intriguing evaluation at the pro level, where he should attract plenty of opportunities to land on a roster.

SAF Marcus Fuqua

Elevator Pitch:
A much-feared ballhawking safety with a knack for making the big play, Fuqua was a six-year member of the Buffalo Bulls. Fuqua initially started out as a rotation safety in 2020 after redshirting in 2019 before picking up starting duties midway through the 2021 season. 2022 was Fuqua’s breakout campaign, with 65 total tackles, 2.5 TFLs, five pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and an NCAA-leading seven interceptions, which earned him AP third-team All-American honors and a spot on the first-team all-MAC defense. Fuqua wouldn’t quite reach those turnover numbers again (he had just one interception between the 2023 and 2024 campaigns), but he was still a very important and respected part of the defense, finishing his career with 244 total tackles (144 solo), 11.5 TFLs, nine interceptions, 20 pass break-ups, a forced fumble and four fumble recoveries.

OT Caelan Shepard
