BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Sabres closed out 2024 with a familiar failing.
Tuesday night’s 4-2 loss at Dallas marked the fourth time this season and sixth in the calendar year that Buffalo was unable to extend a win streak to four games.
Wyatt Johnson tipped in the go-ahead goal with 8:32 left in the third period to beat the Sabres, who came in having won three in a row after halting their 13-game skid.
Jason Zucker and Beck Malenstyn scored tying goals for Buffalo, and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 29 saves in a game the Sabres never led.
Buffalo plays at Colorado on Thursday before concluding its road trip Saturday in Vegas.
